Test Code Requests

ATTENTION:

  • Make sure you have tried programming your LCD first! This is just for your help. Make sure you went through the lectures first and programmed the fuses.
  • Please do not trouble your demonstrator if you haven’t followed these basic instructions.
  • This code is not affiliated with the university nor is it a part of the curriculum. Please do not trouble the professor or other demonstrators if you have any issues with this code.
  • Divert all your problems directly to me at mail[at]sahilkhanna.org if you face any problems relating to the testcode.

Download Pin Config Code and replace the pin number according to your game console design. Paste that code in the the form below and submit with your email and name. I’ll try to send back a test code (in hex-format) as soon as possible which you can load on your game console(ATMega 16) using AVR studio.

If everything works out fine then your game console should work something like this ->

Share the love if you succeed!
#ILoveEmbeddedSystemDesign

The purpose of this test code is to verify whether there’s any issue in your hardware. If you are not able to see the code above then it means that there is some issue withing your hardware that you might want to fix. If nothing works on your LCD but the led is blinking then your SPI/LCD tracks are not making proper connection with ICs and you should check those connections first. Finally, this is not a necessary step to do, this code is just for your help. You can very well proceed without the need of using this code 🙂

  • If things didn’t work out well you should go through the Building gameconsole guide to check whether you have done things properly.
  • Also make sure that the pin config code you sent was correct.
